Step 5

Alternatively, you can call 1.844.NOW.HASU to book a video, talk or text appointment with any of our highly qualified  therapists.

Is Hasu covered under my employer's group benefits?

Most benefit plans include coverage for social workers (MSW) and psychologists, so long as they have at least a Master's level degree. Our list of therapists will indicate their level of education. Prior to booking a session, you should inquire with your group benefits administrator if the service you are seeking will be covered. Once your session has been completed, you will receive an invoice which will include all necessary information for you to submit for reimbursement through your employer's group benefits plan.

How much does it cost?

The cost for a one hour session is $75.00 for video or talk counselling on any device and Unlimited Text Therapy is $29.00 per week.

Please note that a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule your online session without charges. If less than 24 hours notice is given, or if you miss or forget to attend an appointment with your Hasu therapist, you will be charged and no refund will be given.

Is my Hasu therapist a certified professional?

Yes. Hasu providers are experienced healthcare professionals registered/licensed with their provincial regulatory body and thoroughly screened, including confirmation of a vulnerable persons police check.

Is Hasu private and secure?

Yes. Your privacy is very important to us. Your information will not be stored electronically and will be secured in accordance with the requirements of your therapist's professional governing body/college. Only your therapist will have access to your information. Hasu eCounselling will not reveal client information to any external organization unless we have been authorized by you through signed consent, or by limitations of confidentiality.

Is Online Therapy Effective?

Numerous studies have demonstrated that online counselling is just as effective as face-to-face counselling and sometimes even more effective!

“Research suggests that patients report enhanced therapeutic alliance, increased self-disclosure, and decreased stigma with distance services when compared to face-to-face services.”

Mental Health Commission, 2014
